I love this outfit for some reason...? I am still trying to figure out why exactly.

Malibu

The other day, W invited us to spend the day with him at his beach house in Malibu.
I am not exactly into going to the beach but I am into Malibu.
It is so beautiful and strange, it feels a little like a dream.

We spent the day lying in the warm sand, running up and
down the beach, and watching the sunset. So calming!

The Beverly Hills Hotel

One of my favorite places is the Polo Lounge at The Beverly Hills Hotel.
It is one of those places that gives me a lot of inspiration for reasons I cannot quite explain.

I love all of the pink and the green, the stripes, the people...the Beverly Hills Hotel logo.
It is so Slim Aarons meets Barbie, which in my opinion is beyond appealing.

Honestly, I adore all of The Beverly Hills Hotel, not just the Polo Lounge.
I adore it so much that I even want a pair of their pajamas...

I seriously love these photos of newly named Industry Icon Sasha Pivovarova,
shot by Josh Ollins for The Last Magazine's Fall/Winter 2013 issue.

This season's quiet greys (pale pinks, soft blues, and cream as well for that matter),
in cozy textures, and masculine tailoring create a wonderfully polite femininity
that I think is too lovely.

It is so colorful, usually a little strange, and always inspiring (cliche I know).

Out of all of the Fall/Winter 2013-2014 collections,
Isabel Marant is one of my favorites (surprise, right?).
It is different from Marant's previous collections,
it feels like she white washed her studio and just
decided to start fresh.

The textures, the fabrics, the layering...
it all works so well together in that
unbelievably cool Marant sort of way.

Flower Garden

 

This was the flower garden on Sunday
evening as the sun was setting. So lovely.
Since then it has been nonstop rain, but
I think the rain is clearing up for a bit.

For the first time in a while I can see the

blue sky peeking out through the clouds.

Already I am feeling more creative.

Hopefully I will have time to pick some

peonies before the rain starts again!
